Hello! We are new tortoise owners. We received our 2 Ibera Greek Tortoises on September 5th from Arizona Tortoise Compound. They are Atlas and Tula. They are sweet and fun to watch. We have a giant enclosure for them and they are getting acquainted with their surroundings. They are starting to feel more and more comfortable with their enclosure and love to sun in the heat lamp/uvb lamp area. They are eating like champs. Spring mix, kale, spinach and dandelion, plus other weeds from our yard. They take a warm dip each morning and are growing stronger daily! Thanks for having us as a part of the tortoise family.

Hi, and welcome!

Don't use spinach too often. It binds calcium so that the calcium gets excreted rather than used in the body.

Nice looking torts you have there!

Happy Torting....and batten down the hatches as Florence heads our way later this week.

Thanks for the tip. I tried giving some yesterday, but they chose to eat around it. The more you know!
