I found a newly hatched desert ornate under a hide. It was barely moving and eyes swollen shut, brought it inside, soaked it for 24 hours, now soaking it in a watery mix of carrot baby food. Eyes look better today but not open, any suggestions?

So either the baby food soaks daily, or bird vitamin water soaks daily should do the trick for him. When you notice that the eyes have opened, then put some worms (tiny worms) in the soaking water for him to hunt and eat.
Because baby box turtles are so tiny, they dehydrate very quickly. Its a good idea to find them every day and soak them.
