My female just laid 9 eggs including this one shaped like a peanut.

Interesting to see if it hatches.

Hi Dave:

I wonder if it were going to be two eggs. It will be interesting to see if there are two embryos in there.

The big part of the egg is about the same size as all of the others, it just has the added smaller bulb. Maybe 1.5 times the size as the other eggs?

We took my female into the vet before she laid and got this which is pretty neat to see as well. I thought it was so cool that I went back to the vets today to take a picture of it.

That's cool Dave. What did you vet have to say about that? Was he wondering if she ate a light bulb LOL?

Ha!

She thought it was very strange, and then we made jokes about it looking like Mr Peanut. It just needed the top hat and the cane.

That's funny. I guess you have a name when he/she/they hatch.

My friend, Shelly, had a Russian egg a couple of years back like that. Felt sorry for the poor female laying it. Unfortunately it did not hatch out. I know she was going to take it to school and let her students cut it open (after is way long over due to hatch). I keep forgetting to ask her, what they did find upon opening it. Good luck with yours.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I will have to wait and see if it is even fertile. I will try to get a picture of it up to the light.

Glad your enjoying your little guy/gal Sue! Have you named him yet?
