Feeding

How many times a day do you feed Eastern Box turtles. And how often. Like if you feed them once a day everyday or twice a day every 2nd day?

When I had mine, I fed every day. But here is a bump to get some current boxie owners opinion.

I feed mine everyday. I use a separate container to make sure her food doesn't run away and so I can count how many bugs she eats. There's always Mazuri/greens/veggie salad available in the enclosure but she doesn't eat that yet. Hatchlings prefer live food.

So do you feed once a day or twice a day?

I only feed her once a day. She now eats 11 bugs a day. I also roll them in calcium powder every other day. I use to have to dig her up for her soaks and meals but for the past 2 weeks, she's been coming out on her own, she's 5 1/2 months now.
