Coloring

Hi all,
My leopard tortoise just turned 1 year ?.
Will his/her coloring turn primarily the lighter color, or will it fill in with a darker color?
Is there any way to know?

I was told (not here) that all leopard tortoises turn this light cream color as they grow at about the one year mark, is that true?

That's a generalization, but not necessarily true for all leopards. I was fostering one for a forum member and he looked pretty much like yours when I got him. Now, a year later, he's quite dark and looks like most leopards.

The darker pattern is already started coming in on yours.
