Coco husk

I have recently purchased some coco husk for the humid section within my enclosure, does any1 use this or have any experience / advice as to weather its any good? Thanks.

Is it the really fine coconut coir like sawdust? Or the more stringy coconut? I don't like using anything stringy. I only use the coconut coir, that is like sawdust. I have had to pull moss out of my torts mouth when I first got him last year.

It's more like that of a bark texture tbh. It's in a brick shape ATM
I have to soak it for 30 minutes to break it all up. I'll take a picture soon and upload it

All coconut coir is great for a substrate. Just watch and make sure your tort doesn't do what mine did, with the moss. Otherwise it's fine to use.

I was just going to put it in one section to make a humid
Section for my tort. Do you think this should be at the cool end?

The tortoise life substrate I use is 50:50 topsoil, could I mix it with that?

Probably but I just get it from garden centre it's only a fiver for a 60 litre bag of organic top soil from most garden centres and that lasts a long time
