hi I am trying to find the best set up for my 2 torts, I want to put some rocks/stones around the water tray to try and stop the substrate from gettingin can I use any stones like the ones you buy in diy stores for the garden or just from my garden? and do they need washing off first? thanks

Rocks from your garden should be fine. Just wash them thoroughly and you should be good! Rocks from the store would be good too, but you don't really need to get them from the store as long as the outside rocks are clean.

I agree with TurtleTortoise. Any cleaned rocks will work fine
