Does anyone think it would be ok to purchase a cedar "gardening center" as a tort table? I've got 2 greeks. I know cedar is bad for mulch, but thought I'd ask, since all of the "gardening centers" are made of cedar.

Would this be like a raised bed? or more a tort table? If its a raised bed where only the sides are cedar, I see no problem with it. If its a tort table where it has a cedar floor and sides, it might be a bit too aromatic to use.

I've read that since most wood nowadays is newer growth (mostly sapwood), not old growth (heartwood), that there is less oil (and other compounds) and thus less aroma. This was pertaining to the use of cedar for decks, fencing, etc and the need to seal it. So not directly related but interesting. I think it would be a judgement call based on how aromatic this particular wood is.
