There is a section on here for vendor reviews. You can let people know about the store if you want to. Pet stores and even veterinarians often don't know much about tortoises. I got my Russian from a locally owned a pet store and they were clueless. I asked for a captive bred young male and instead I got a wild caught not young, female. But I wouldn't give her up for the world. I would definitely take your tortoise in for a fecal check to make sure there aren't parasites. But if there are parasites no big deal. I'll just give you some medication to get rid of them. My vet gives me some stuff that is like a paste and I sprayed it on a leaf of Romain, then roll it up like a burrito in my tortoise eat sit right down without any issues.
