Hi! Ive had my tort for about a year now but ive mostly fed him veggies. I decided to try some fruit so i am trying to find out if he can eat bannanas. Most websites say no but my "turtles and tortoises book for dummies" says yes. Can i feed him banannas????

I do not own Russians so you may want to wait for an experienced person. My reaction is to say no. I give them maybe once monthly as a treat to my redfoot and box turtles but they are fruit eating species.

You can give a small piece of banana as a treat, maybe once a month or so. Fruit should not be given as they don't get fruit in their wild state and their bodies are not used to it.
