So my hatchling has been eating spring mix, and at every feeding I try and dust a little calcium on the greens.. He won't touch the greens with the calcium on it.. Is there a way I can get him to eat it?

Is there a way I can make the calcium not noticible?

Are you using just a pinch sprinkled throughout? If so and he's still not eating, try "tossing" the spring mix and calcium like a salad and see if that helps.

I am doing the tossing thing.. So that it gets kind of covered but not really that 'noticible'. He still refuses to touch it if it has calcium on it.

I'd try cutting back on how much you are using and see if that helps or you can try a cuttlefish bone. I broke off a one inch piece and added it to the food dish, now my yearling leopard already gnaws on his and I saw him look for and find it today. Hopefully someone else can give you other tips that might help you find success.

Also, I bought a pumkin as a treat for my sullies.. Should I steam it first so it is softer or just give it raw?
