Box turtle pond

So a couple if months ago I built a concrete pond for my two easterns. Unfortunately It does not hold much water so my question is can I get a small pond mold and fill it with aquatic plants. I just can't use a filter so I was wondering if the plants would work as one.

It will be kind of clean you joule put a few layers of gravel so that too will act as a free, ever look into a small sponge filter. If you did enough love plants it will help. Might be hard to maintain. Not sure. Keep us posted tho

Plants with good roots will help clean the water a bit.
