Bo and So

It's been a while since I posted pictures of my Aldabran tortoises. I wish I know then what I know now, and that I had smooth tortoises, but, oh well:

I weighed them about a year ago and So weighed 180lbs. Bo was about 40lbs lighter. So is now almost double in size from Bo, but I haven't weighed them recently. They are 14 years old this year.

I'm curious, how did these two get their names?
What comes to mind is that together it spells "Boso".

I used to always refer to them as "The Bigger One" and "The Smaller One." And one of our members, Laura, told me I could just call them Bo and So instead. Much easier and quicker to type. And now the actual bigger one is So.
