Appropriate Length?

So I have an eight month old Sulcata tortoise and its shell length is 2 3/4 of an inch. Is this above or below average?

There really is no "average". When started correctly, housed correctly and kept hydrated, they grow to 1000 grams in 12 months. When started too dry, housed too dry and kept dehydrated, the ones that survive tend to grow very slowly.

2 3/4 inch is small for an 8 month old. What is the weight? In grams?
