Anyone tell what type this guy/girl is?

Hi someone is selling this guy/girl on internet. They have no idea of age sex or type?!?! I'm concerned that due to this it's needs can not be met appropriately. Can anyone tell type from pic please?

It's a Russian tortoise, but we can't tell the gender without seeing the tail.

Can't really tell from this picture. Looks like a girl or an adolescent male from this angle. Full grown males will have tails that leave no room for doubt. My mature male's tail crosses completly over his left leg. My mature females have tiny little stump tails.
