Hi,

Iv had my star tortoise for nearly 2 months now and he's growing very well indeed, almost double in weight. So I thought I'd have a post here to see if anyone can see any signs of pyramiding. Iv been raising him/her in a closed humid environment so hopefully there shouldn't be.

Thanks

It looks like you have a perfectly normal baby star tortoise. Stars such as sri lankans have more pyramiding than indian or burmese star tortoises but that is normal. Your just want to keep the pyramidng to a minimum by supplying your tortoise with UVB rays without a coil bulb(which I learned the hard way) and humidity. Basically, keep doing what you are doing :)
