Hello All,

I live in Los Angeles and I have 3 hermanns that are about 4 inches long. I finally moved to a place with a back yard and I'm planning an outdoor enclosure for them. Could anyone point me in the direction of a list of plants that would be suitable for hermanns? aesthetic/edible, and not just weeds. ;) I want their enclosure to be a sanctuary. :D

Thanks!

Weeds is what they want! Dandelions, thistle, pad cactus...they love 'em all. Get a pack of weed seeds and plant 'em thickly.

And what they refuse to eat makes good cover.

I've planted strawberries, petunias, and pansies in my outdoor enclosure for my Hermanns. I have a grape vine, ice plant, and some Irish moss waiting to go in the ground (we won't have our last frost here for another month). So far my Hermanns have been outdoors 2 times. The larger one is in a flat out sprint the whole time he is outdoors. It doesn't look like exploration, seems to be panic. The two little ones bury themselves in the ground as soon as they get out there.
