A natural diet is possible all year even in cold climates

I am finally happy with the diet I am providing for my tort, even during the winter months.

I have fresh clover, hibiscus and cactus growing that he gets once a week.



Lots of dried weeds that he eats 2-3 times a week:

mallow
broadleaf plantain
narrowleaf plantain
dandelion
stinging nettle
Pre Alpin Fibre
Pre Alpin Herbs
dried edible flowers from JR farm (not depicted)
dried mulberry leaves

During the cold months he also gets different types of spring mix 2-3 times a week.

I got a nice picture of him enjoying the dried weeds.


I have also ordered 2 mulberry saplings and a grape vine that I will be planting out in the garden this summer
