No unfortunately and I am currently not at home, his enclosure is a little small and as he's getting bigger I'm opting for a new bigger enclosure once I move house later on this year, his enclosure isn't open but does have an open vent to help circulate oxygen
Yeah I'll keep a close eye on him, sometimes it does look a little bit dry in his enclosure even though it says it's humid so I might buy a new hygrometer to just make sure, I'll also try the lemon juice idea thanks :)
It would make sense for it to be a bit of calcium deposit because other than that he's rather healthy I was just getting worried as you do but thank you I'll try that :p
I find his shell is usually worse when he's been in his water bowl, the water reaches just above the rim of his shell and above that is the part that seems to turn white
I've had him for about half a year now, he has only been starting to get this white stuff for about a month, it goes away once I bathe him however it comes back a little while later, he's eating well, he's active and he regularly passes stool so i can only imagine I just need to find a better...
Okay, thank you I did think he was a little dry but I'll try the coconut oil and see how that goes, it's put me at ease knowing he isn't starting to suffer a much more serious problem though :D
Yes a hygrometer sorry :p and yes I was recommended the bulb and glow light, it is the exo terra brand and yes it is the white that I am mostly concerned about, I have recently just bathed him and the white has returned
That's a relief, I'm just confused as to why he's beginning to turn quite white on his shell, I have a 80W heat lamp with UVB & UVA I also have a hydrometer to let me know if the moisture ever drops, thanks :)
