I feed spineless prickly pear cacti to my tortoise. My mom has this cacti in my house and until now i thought what type it is. My guess is that it is prickly pear cacti. The one i feed my tort has some little hairs sometimes. This one has bigger spines about 1/2 or 1/4 of a centimeter...

Do you guys keep some sort of tortoise first aid kit? If so... What's in there? E.g. cream, or some sort of thing to help wounds stay clean. I would like to hear from you and get some ideas to maybe make my own. Thank you :)

My ant problem was solved thanks to these! I had some fire ants trying to get into my tortoise shed and i just placed two of these around the shed and it kept them away. But i still worried cuz there were still many ants up in the tree that the shed is under, so i droped some of it in the tree...

No ants have gotten near the shed i built, my tort is in there asleep, but i am not sure. The temps for tonight get to 66F being the lowest and 7% precipitation. There are dry leaves in there to insulate the tort, but i want to hear ya'lls opinion if i should leave it out overnight starting...
