    red foot tortoise eggs

Wow I am no where near you, I live in Edmonton Alberta. I am sure you will find someone nearby who can offer a wealth of knowledge. I hope you find one or even a tortoise or turtle that fits your needs

    red foot tortoise eggs

Don't know how quickly I will be looking to sell and shipping is definitely not a direction I want to go. I will be pretty picky with who gets one since I will not be producing more :)

So is the average for Red Foots around that 150 day mark? Trying to find the best answer but failing miserably... I am so excited for the chance of having little babies crawling around

    red foot tortoise eggs

This ended up being completely accidental. I am more set up for pythons than torts but at least babies take time to hatch and grow. I am so stoked and it is the waiting that will be the ultimate killer for me for sure!

    red foot tortoise eggs

Sorry I did a few changes for the incubation. I added a container of water to aid in humidity AND I checked today 2 eggs have dark spots, I am hoping this means growth since they still have not deflated or rotted. Sorry, I am completely green to this and just thought I would take a shot at...

    red foot tortoise eggs

So I feel bad as I am only active here when I have questions. Anywho, my red foot tortoise on December 3 gave me 3 gorgeous eggs. Now I never had her with a male but I did buy her in May from a breeder as an adult. I have been incubating the eggs at 30 degrees celcius but am not seeing much for...

    Is this egg a dud?

I only have a few photos available, mostly as I need to put my camera pics onto my computer.. But these are my two shelled babies. My box turtle Dexter and I was thinking of naming my tortoise Dixie. The weather here has been very co-operative so I have been able to take them outside when I am...

    Is this egg a dud?

Sorry I haven't been on here for a bit. I was able to get a hold of a vet tech that I know and was told how to deal with this. She has since been drinking, eating and peeing very well. I also gave her daily baths. Seems this may have been her only big stone, but I soon need to make a vet...

    Is this egg a dud?

Just a week ago, I obtained an adult female red foot tortoise. I am not 100% sure, but she may have been with males, regardless though, she just laid an egg. Unfortunately, the outside almost seems to have calcium deposits (feels like a golf ball) on the shell and is nearly impossible to...

    Beans' house

sorry I know all I have is that crappy small pic but the fogger is under the heat source and both the temp and humidity gages are there as well that way I can watch the temperature in the enclosure as well as humidity

    Beans' house

temps are at 80 degrees right now and the fogger will be shut down at night as the basking light will no longer be on

actually its the exo terra ultrasonic fog generator, I bought it today at Petsmart and it says it increases air humidity level up to %100... so far it is working and my humidity is already at 50%... It's only been running for about an hour

    Beans' house

actually its working quite well and yes its for humidity. I am also spraying the other side of the enclosure as well[hr] this is the longest I have seen her eyes open for! It's very promising to me :)
