Hi lira i don't know if ok to use but if you use coconut coir make sure to use a different substrate on top to prevent shell rot and if you can find orchid bark or coconut husk (bark) those are good substates for red foots hope this helps:)

ok i didn't see that. I think he had shell rot when bought him and he also had a little crack in his shell, and also the other torts had pyramiding and weren't active

I noticed my tortoise has shell rot and it's getting worse what should I do? should I take him to the vet or try to cure it my self? or what do you guys think I should do
