Thank you so much for replying. Yes I added lots of dry hay to his diet and he went into it and ..... slept. Previously I was feeding the wrong stuff eg salads. He's only a few months old.

I've read about requirements of Sulcata and have added dry grass hay but he doesn't seem interested. I'm sure this question has been asked lots of times but it is the dry hay that one gives the tortoise is it?

I know that the Sulcata needs a diet rich in dry hay. Is this true of Indian Star tortoise?

I know both of these are Spur-thighed but which subspecies please. They are each around 60 years of age and the female weighs 3.5kg Thanks
