I am moving to Colorado (currently 8 degrees) from Texas and I need to rehome my beautiful baby. She is in excellent health and has a wonderful disposition. Igloo is about 5 years old and still growing. I last weighed her (2 summers ago) at about 48 pounds - she has grown since that time. She is...
Sure - I'll post a picture of it in the morning. She eats mostly grass and hay. Occasionally with Kale, spinach, turnip greens, okra, aloe, cactus and Mazuri.
I've noticed that Igloo's upper lip is looking very overgrown - the ridges look too long, and I noticed that when she is trying to take a bite of squash, she ends up pushing the pieces further away instead of biting into them. Beak trimming in birds is very common. Has anyone heard of such a...
I've read the posts on building a outdoor box for Igloo (thank you!). What I need to know is, what is the brand of heating "pad" that is being used? Are some better than others for outdoor use? The type of pad used in the posts looks to be larger and of a better quality than what I'm seeing in...
Hi guys! Igloo has moved with me from Tennessee to Austin Texas. I know there are a few sully owners in the great state of TX - when do you guys start prepping for winter and what kind of set up do you have? Igloo is a 3year old female and about 30-35LBS and she is outdoors 100% of the time now...
They grew in that way - and you can see there are multiple places where it coloring is off. When I first asked about this and posted the first photos (where it does look like an extra fat growth ring in one area) someone mentioned "marbling" but I can't find any information on marbling.
I think this is way beyond white growth rings - as you can see from the photos, these color changes are about 2 inches wide. Thanks for the guesses guys! I was thinking female but either way we are happy.
Igloo is now weighing in at 11.25 pounds and is measuring about 12 inches in length. The white banding has grown dramatically and spread to a few other areas. I'm reading conflicting information about sexing - any hints as to what Igloo may be?
I posted a few weeks ago (though now I can't find any previous posts that I've made!) about a strange white line that started across Igloo's back. The line has grown bigger. Still no idea what or why it's there...any ideas?Previous growth.
Today's growth
I just noticed this strange mark on Igloo in the past few days. Is this a weird growth ring? What would cause this sort of coloration/lack of color? Has anyone seen anything like this before?
Other than this he's as happy as a clam, eating well and growing.
