I have a Russian Tortoise named Koopa. Apparently no one around me knows the difference between a tortoise & a turtle. Cuz the next person that calls her a turtle is getting smacked. (I love turtles too tho lol)

This may be a silly question. But this is my first tortoise. I got a Russian Tortoise from Petsmart & I've had her for almost 3 wks. She's eating & seems happy, so I have no worries. But I was wondering how often I should take her to the vet for a check up. Or even if tortoises get check ups lol.
