I have a russian tortoise and i grow her own food. I give her collard greens and recently there were aphids on them. I washed most of the aphids off but i think some remained. I think this because there is an aphid colony (or whatever you call a family of thousands of aphids) living in my tank. It's not like i can just take a paper towel and wipe them down. The tank has dirt (coconut husk) so it won't be easy. Is there an easy way to get rid of them that is not cleaning the tank completely. please help!

Wow.
Aphids are a messy bunch of bugs , hard to get rid of. Frankly I don't know of any way that is safe for the tort to rid 'me other than complete clean out , with all new substrata.

Maybe someone has a safe home remedy ?

But once they get on something , they rapidly lay eggs. Complete clean out might be the only way.

Who cares about aphids? Extra protein for the tortoises.
If they gross you out, or deform the growth, use an organic spray, maybe a soap-type spray. I use "Safer's End All".
