Healthy Shell?

I am a new tortoise mom and purchased Shelly a few months ago. I have been doing research on the health of tortoise shells, but I'm just not sure if Shelly's shell needs any special attention. Any advice would help. Thanks!

I don't see anything wrong with that shell other than the new growth lines look a little dry. You can dab on a bit of cold pressed, extra virgin coconut oil with a Q-tip to the new growth areas, allow it to soak in for about 15 minutes, then polish it off with an absorbent cloth.
