His temperatures are around 35 - 40 degrees Celsius, he is just over a year old and he is a horsefield tortoise. Had a feeling it might've been pee but I have never seen him pee in his food before, he has in his water though.

I could be wrong but I am 90% sure that little Squirt was sick this morning. I noticed that for the past couple of days he was a little bit inactive, he was in the house part of his enclosure and didn't really come out much (only for food and water) but I didn't want to bother him, it is winter...

Okay great thank you! I will get some ordered right away! Is there anything else you would suggest I do to help my little guy out?

I use a UVB bulb and moist substrate yet the substrate does dry out within about a day.... what would you suggest I do?

I'm glad they work for your tortoises! I've been hearing mixed things, I read this morning that you should stay away from fake plants because some tortoises will eat them, I guess you will never know until you try! I might have a go :)
