    I have had to make the hard decision of separating my two male Russian Hartsfield tortoises today, as the larger one (bubble) has been biting and chasing the smaller one (squeak).This has been happening over a few months however has only happened two to three times. this weekend it has been happening a lot. squeak has been acting differently, and it is also very upsetting to watch.

    squeak never retaliates to bubbles biting and chasing and tucks away. bubble normally gives up once he is moved away, but today he has just not quit. my partner is currently out getting resources so that we can split out large vivarium into two halves.

    I was wondering even though this is happening, would I still be able to bring them both together now and then. I like to have them out in my kitchen, as well as bath them together. their has never been any problems before when they have been in these situations.
