Only a loss of appetite a couple weeks before but we didn’t think much of it since we kept the temp & humidity on the correct levels. Maybe my tort was sick and didn’t even know it :(

My tortoise just passed away. He was about 10 years old. Wondering what’s the average lifespan of these tortoises since I thought they’d live longer. My dude didn’t seem ill, but just noticed a loss of appetite the last couple of weeks. So it seemed like it was a natural cause of death.

Thanks for your input! Right now it's at 75F, usually it's between 75-80. I'd be surprise if that's the cause of it b/c my older tortoise Kiwi has had the same temp setting for about 5.5 years now and he didn't believe have any skin issues.
