Usually calium deficiency or not enough UV light, try increasing these and bathing him daily. Babies in general tend to have softer shells anyway though

My Russian tortoise arrived today and is almost one years old and is very tiny! I live in the UK and am slightly uncertain of how to care for him as he seems rather fragile. I'm thinking of keeping inside but I'm slightly concerned that he might not get enough sun although he has a UV light.
