I got Josie 1.5 weeks ago at a local Fish/Reptile pet store. The owner told me that Josie was 3-4 years old and they got her from a wholesaler. She also said that she had another RT that was bigger than her.
When I brought Josie home, I was able to get a measurement of her shell from neck to tail, but only an estimate because I don't have calipers or a sewing measuring tape. I used a rigid ruler and eyeballed her measurements. She measured out to be 4.5-5 inches from neck to tail, 3.5 inches from side to side, and today she weighs 15.8oz (447g).
Last week, she weighed 442g.
5 grams a week a good rate for weight gain?
Thanks!
