What speice is my turtle?

My friend bought me a turtle for my birthday because she knew how obsessed I was with them, only problem is: She doesn't know anything about it other than it's a male. If you know his speice, please tell me!

I'd also like some name suggestions. Which Ninja Turtle does he look like?

tortoise looks Russian to me

That's a species of testudo(more than likely s greaca[greek species]) will need a photo of the plastron and entire carapace(top side and under side. At that point @HermanniChris should be able to tell you exactly which species. Looks like a morekensis to me, but need more of a profile shot to ID properly.

This is a Libyan Greek tortoise (Testudo graeca cyrenaica). Very sensitive species and needs to be kept in arid situations.
