Tortoise care

Hello,

I have a leopard tortoise that managed to escape his pasture during the coldest, rainiest week ever last week.

Somehow today he showed up and he doesn’t look injured. He is cold. Is there anything special I should do? Soak him? Just put him in his heated home? I just can’t believe he survived.

They can be pretty resilient. I'd let it slowly warm up at room temperature, then soak in luke-warm water, then place it in its heated box. Keep a close eye on it for signs of a respiratory infection. Glad you got it back!
