Previously I used Exo Terra fir bark for my stars. But I noted one of my stars had stuffy nose and blowing bubbles on his nose. So I washed the fir bark to rid of of the smaller particles that might have caused it.
Now I am simply using newspaper which suck aesthetics-wise.
Thinking of using the bark again. And I bought a pack of ZooMed fir bark as well.
How should I prepare them to prevent the small particle and take care of the stars' health? Or should I mix with top soil and compact?
