Hi experts
I have 2 Russians both live separately in different enclosures.
Both have large enclosures. Are 32-34 degrees under heat lamp 25 ish cool area. All monitored by digital guns.

Lighting I believe is good with the t5 bulbs all around

Again both very active and eat all the time however I have noticed on both of them around their growth rings they have this faint light pink? Its only there on both of them?

Is this normal, would you suggest a trip to the vets, I’ve not noticed it before

Greetings……usually a slight pink hue between the scutes (the suture lines) is noted during a very active growth spurt. Have these guys been in outside enclosures, lots of heat, soakings and good food? I’m guessing yes, and you are seeing active growth occurring in those areas.

Yes they have been we’ve had a heat wave so they have been very warm, eating more than usual and having lots of soaks to cool down!!! I pray that could be it. Thank you very much

A heatwave her in Jordan too. Temperature reaches 37 degrees C (98.8 degrees F, which is extremely hot, although expected in July.
Even I give my tort two soaks a day during such weather.
