Hi, I have a 10month hermanns tortoise, he is 2.5 inches long and weighs 36.2g. My friend bought her tortoise from the same breeder and I believe the same hatching. Hers is much bigger and weighs 20g more. Should I be concerned ?

Tony is growing at a steady rate, just slowly, about 2-4 g per month

Hello and welcome.
I have a Hermanns tortoise too - he is nearly 23 years old, and he weighs just over ! kilo, which I think is pretty small -but he is healthy and lively, and altogether great !
I think some tortoises just grow a bit slower than others, and if yours is eating properly, and his living conditions are right, he may catch up later on - and if he stays a bit smaller, well,that's just how he is.
However, I am not an expert at all - I'm just saying that there is probably nothing to worry about.
