I'm not real sure, because the pictures are sorta' fuzzy, but my take on Boris is that he's NOT a Russian. Maybe some sort of Greek? or Hermann's??

Yup looks like a Greek tortoise, Testudo graeca, to me too. :) Would need clearer pictures and a plastron picture to give a go at subspecies.

Now I am scared if he is Greek he needs dry not humid, I have been keeping him as a Russian.
I will take more pics now

i am so very worried I have not taken correct care of him

Aw-w-w-w! He's just a teeny tiny baby! You don't get a grasp of his size until you see the shot where he's in the fingers! Cute little guy. Don't worry about your care of him. I'm sure you haven't harmed him. But now you get to do some more research! Love that reading. ;)

YES HE IS TINY, THANK YOU I AM READING AND LOOKING AND HOPING THE DAMPNESS I HAVE HAD HIM IN WAS NOT HARMING HIM, IM STARTING TO THINK HE IS GREEK, I JUST CALLED WHERE I GOT HIM, THE PEOPLE ARE..WELL LETS SAY THEY SAID NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE IN CARE OF THE 2 . IM SO FRUSTRATED, UPSET AND SCARED I WANTED TO DO THE BEST I COULD FOR HIM
I FEEL LIKE I HAVE FAILED..BACK TO READING
