MBD? Tapering shell?

I've had a 10 year old female horsfield tortoise for about 7 months now and her shell is very large towards her head and smaller towards her tail. Is this metabolic bone disease? I took her to a reptile vet when I first got her and he mentioned that she is in early stage of MBD because her shell was soft but he never mentioned the tapering. Just curious if it's related. It reminds me of hunchback. Will this even out with proper diet and husbandry or is it more permenant?

Personally I don't really see any issues. But I'm no expert on tort shells.
Looks like lots of smooth new growth though, so awesome job with your tort!

I'm not seeing the tapering you refer to in these pics. The shell looks fine from the angles of these pics.

When the bones go soft from advanced MBD, and then they recalcify with proper treatment and correction of the problem, yes, they can be mishap pen and it can be permanent. This is what will often cause the kinks in the tail or spine of iguanas and bearded dragons that have recovered from MDB. I'm not seeing that in these pics.

Well thank you so much for looking and commenting! I think I over analyze her shell and get worried.
