and

Apollonia
(just got here and still kinda shy...and thanks to Dean for such a great name for her  )

Not great cell-phone pics, but when my daughter wakes up, I'll borrow her camera and take better ones. :tort:

Thanks, Yvonne...letting both take a good soak, then I'll offer them some Mazuri...hopefully the new red stuff'll get here today.

Both have decent body weights (my digital scale I ordered has not yet arrived, so you'll have to take my word! ;)), he's just over 5-1/4", she's about 4" and both are looking pretty healthy...got their quarrantine enclosure ready to recieve them and, thus, my herd is started.

Caught Ptolemy "putting the moves" on Apollonia, so I'm going to let them quarrantine in seperate enclosures...

Awesome!! The herd is growing!

Yeah, I'm stoked about that...probably keep it 1.3 for at least the next year (unless, of course, I find a "can't resist" bargain on more females :p).

Possibly by next spring, Ptolemy and Ophelia (and maybe Jennifer) will be breeding...Apollonia is likely too small for at least a couple years, I'm thinking.

Those are some pretty ugly tortoises - your better off sending them to me so you don't have to disgust yourself looking at them.

Apollonia has quite an appetite...she ate 6 "red tortoise sticks", 6 Mazuri (both soaked, mixed with about 2 tbspoons of dried weeds...polished that off and is looking for more...ignoring a piece of cactus, though.

Ptolemy ate about the same, plus the cactus, but he's somewhat bigger.
