I highly recommend you break away from your trend of pairs. Most Chelonians, including your current ones, do not do well in pairs. Groups are usually okay, but pairs, not so much.

In New Mexico and I had 3 leopard tortoises but 1 got sick and didn't make it the other 2 get along great and same with my turtles
