I'm certain that you'll get more, and more useful, advice if you post pictures of the tortoise and the lump, along with details about any departures from the norm in their care or behavior in the weeks prior to the lump's appearance.

Having taken D---- to the vet about her lump on her paw some weeks ago I would suggest that you him as well not just for him but for your peace of mind.

We're going to need to see pictures. A lump on the face is not normal nor is it something we can help you with unless we get more information - enclosure? food? heat? lights? indoors? outside?
