I just wanted to know, what is the smallest breed (?) of Leopard tortoises? Is it Paradalis Babcoki (I'm not even sure if I typed that right, but I do know they're the hybrids) or is there another smaller species?

Thanks!

There is only one species of leopard now. The current scientific minds have decided there are no subspecies, but 11 "clades" within the natural range.

Over here we have a pure form from South Africa that some people have maintained, and then there is everything else. The SA form does tend to get larger, than the regular types, which are in most cases a mixture of the different forms from all over the range.

Not too long ago I seen a "dwarf"??? leopards advirtised on kingsnake by Wanda Paterson. She claimed the adults stay much, much smaller the typical babcocki. The "adults" she was showing as a reference appeared to be only 7-8" or so, if I recall correctly.
