This is so very exciting! I was thinking of breeding mine maybe next year. Would eggs be okay in the ground naturally at this time of year in San Antonio, TX?
Big congrats!! )

Female 62lbs
Male 53lbs
So I ended up leaving them in the ground. I'm curious though, how strong are hatchlings? Can they dig pretty far? Around August should I loosen the dirt up some? I plan on fencing the area in to catch them.
My female was close to 22in. Both of them are 7yrs old. I no longer have the female due to injury that she caused to my male. I had to re-home her. This is another reason I'm so excited and hoping I have at least one that hatches. Not only is it an amazing experience in itself but it is a piece of her
I'm happy to see others are just as excited as I am. I have the area enclosed with bricks in case they are fertile and hatch. Nothing yet, I'm constantly checking when I am home though. My intention was never to breed but what is done is done. I think of it as a once in a lifetime experience for me since I no longer have the female. I will definitely update if I get any babies
