I finally got rid of shorty's flower pot hid and made him a humid hide. I was keeping the flower pot bedding moist but i did not feel it was holding in enough humidity.... I had to put shorty in the humid hide the first night but since then he spends more time in the humid hide then out of it... do you think that is ok? he comes out and when the lights turn on and waits for his breakfast. He will clean his plate then go back into his hide and sleeps. today i had the day off and i did notice he will come out and walk around for a while. do a perimeter check, but then about 3o-45 minutes later he is back in his hide. do you think he is getting enough light?

Is he a baby? I have learnt with babies it is very normal for them to sleep the day away only coming out for a bit to eat, roam, bask, then back in their hides for many hours at a time, my Sully does this some days, if not in his hide he is sleeping in the corner etc, but as long as he eats well and roams around a bit I dont worry, babies sleep alot

Sounds perfect to me. That's exactly what you want them to do.
