I have a 2yr old Marginated Tortoise. Recently he/she hitches himself up to wee and I've noticed that there's what appears to be his inside protruding while urinating and goes back inside his tail once finished. Is that normal?

It is my understanding tortoises don't have a hemipenis, just a regular penis.

I have a marginated that isn't quite 2 yrs old. And in the spring his penis was coming out every second day. It was alarming at first. For he and I. But seems to be under control now. One of the pros on here said that is a late spring early summer thing....mating season.
