Hello,
I purchased a Sulcata yearling about a month ago from Arizona Tortoise Compound after reading as much information I could on where would be a good place to buy from. We've had "Eddie" since then. He weighs in at 1lb 1oz and is 6 inches long.
We live in DFW area in Texas. Eddie spends his days in an enclosure measuring 25'x12' and at night, we bring him into the garage to sleep in a 2'x4' wooden box that I built for him.
Eddie eats kale, turnip greens, spring mix salad and weeds/grass when we let him roam the backyard. I'm amazed how quickly he can completely disappear when I leave him unattended. We've already had several hours spent looking under and around obstacles when he decides to hide out from the afternoon sun.
