I'm getting there slow but sure. Still need to straighten out the planks for the tubs. I just dropped them in.

I also need to figure out my plan to have the doors extend to the ground while making sure it's not too steep.

I decided I'm just going to put a fence 2 feet tall all around for both and not worry about the height. Two feet should be good for both for quite a while.

My son came over today and secured the hinges to the lid for me. He lifts the lid to test it out. It was perfect, well all for the fact I cannot lift the darn lid on my own. I'm blaming my back. I somehow hurt it, so I will try again later when it is better. Good news is I'm never home alone so I will always have someone to help lift this darn lid. ;)
You could use struts like your car uses for a hatchback or hood that stays up that are cheap and manual OR... an 600lb rated actuator, power supply and switch (about $50)

I went the actuator route because I don't even feel like lifting it. I push a button and the top opens. Your back is worth $50. Heck, 1 doctor visit is more than $50.

I have this in my cart https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09WTKGR2R/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20

What is this actuator you speak about? I like the idea of pushing a button.

@ryan57 I found the actuator on Amazon. For a lid this size is one enough?
Yes. Just like you could open your hinged lid from one side with your hand. I'd mount it in the middle though to distribute the weight and make it easy but if it's the $30 600lb one it's meant to move heavy entrance gates and such.

Awesome that you found the actuator. The ones I ordered came with a power switch and instructions. All I had to buy is a power supply. Search "12v power supply for actuator". It is awesome to use and if you get it and need any help I can help get it wired.

Oh cool thanks.
This is the one I found. I'll look into them more. I added the power cord to my cart.

Where is the best placement for the kane heat mats and heat panels?

I was thinking the two corners away from the spot for the radiator.

I'm still moving slow. I picked up some rosemary plants for inside their yard and some mallow plants for outside the yard. Hoping they will grow nice and big to help with shade.

What do you think about these two?

Inkbird ITC-608T Temperature Controller with Dual Temperature Sensor AC Dual Stage Outlet Thermostat with 12 Period Time Stage 1800W ETL Listed.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MB16C3K/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20

and this is what I use now in the inside enclosure

BN-LINK Digital Heat Mat Thermostat Controller for Seed Germination, Reptiles and Brewing Breeding Incubation Greenhouse, 40-108°F, 8.3A 1000W ETL Listed (Heating)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I15S6OM/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20

Now with the BN-Link the temperature I don't think it is very accurate.
