Help with sexing my redfoots

2 of our reds have unique plastrons, we cannot tell the sex. Here are pics of a female and male rf. The other pics is my wife holding them up. As you can see, their plastrons are cut scross, no curvature. Does anyone have redfoots like ours?

I don't know much about rfs, but could they both be female? They both seem to have short tails, and obviously no concavity.

Its what I was thinking. Just perplexed by the shape of their plastrons.
