Do the GC box turtles hibernate like the other species? I know some of them come from pretty warm areas.

I've had other box turtles in the past, but this is my first GC. She seems to really prefer anything and everything meaty and refuses to eat anything else. She's still young and small, so I expect this to a degree. Are the GC more carnivorous than other box turtle species or do I just need to apply some tough love here?

Thanks for the help.:D

Mine hibernates - but not as long as the others. It takes longer for him to go down, and he's always the first one up. I don't find him to be any more carnivorous than the rest (my ornates seem to be the most carnivorous.) It sounds like tough love might be applicable here! :)

Mine all hibernate up here in the northeast Tom. They hibernate for about 6 months a year and do just fine doing that.
